As you may know art is more than just a subject, it's a tree of talent here on DA. This tree has many branches including: drawn and other, photograph, litature, films, and crafts/hands on. These branches also have mini branches as well. Let's go deep into the branches and show that's it just more than a sketch, a picture, words, clay, cloth,  or notes.

Art (drawn and other)

This is Mostly about how an artist takes a simple sketch and turns it into a work of art. How he/she had to buy the supplies, how what they learned realism or manga or whatever is put down on the canvas/paper, how they have to ink it right or the picture is ruined, what colors should go onto drawing, whether they should add effects to it, how every little flaw makes the picture unique and how after all that, they can be proud that it's what hard work made this creation wonderful. So give these artists props fro their hard work.

:bulletblue: digital (including vectors*)
:bulletblue: colored pencils

*vectors are somewhat debatable do to the fact that some people say it's used to trace art. In my opinion, this somewhat not true due to the fact that they are used in games, advertizement and to create clean works of art.

Art (photographed)

This is just more than a point and click, it's an art form in itself. The photographer has to not only buy their supplies, but he/she has to make sure they work properly. They also have to get the best moments possible. The lighting has to be just right or the picture looks wrong and they have to do it again. They also has to get the best shot of moment or esle it's gone. With people, that photo would bring out the best in others. You don't need to words to describe the photographer's effort or the dramatic emotion of the subject itself, whether it's an animal, people or even landscape. Heck, editing alone, can make simple things have that wow factor to them. So, give these photographers props for their making a photo say more than just a thousand words.

+at least ask for permission to use other people's photos and resources (unless they are you're own) and credit them in your art as well as sending them a link

art (literature)

This is what you wouldn't consider just words. This is a read and visualize type of art. Every word the author writes can turn into an scene for the mind. each character is unique and has it's surroundings. The author can be felt through each paragraph of the story. They're the stortellers who give to the time of your life and have you asking for more. Most stories can make you laugh, cry, gives you chills and nightmares or amaze and say 'is this the end'? These authors are the ones that earned their respect.

Art (entertainment)

Yes an entertainment form of art. Every thought, every good idea typed up. every script made. Every shot or scene edited. The actors actresses remembering lines to make every shoot possible. The editors scrambling to meet their deadlines and producers trying to make this film a good one. Even though their loved, it's best to thank them for everything they do.

Art (crafts/hands on)

This would be considered the 'created with my hands that I did not draw'. This ranges from embroilery to scupture and music. These are the type of art that you can use. embroilery for cloth items, jewerly to wear, knitting to keep warm, plushes to hug, cooking to eat, scupts and work for the home, heck, music to listen to. They all take time experience, and patience to master and people love them for that. Ask someone who makes their own stuff. You may learn it yourself.

Before I leave this article, I must say these words, art thief. Lately, there has been an increasing amount of it on this site. It is down right rude and disrespectful to the artist. It means that the person who stole the artwork took away:

-The time put into each piece. If you can't do that, then you wouldn't know how many hours or days it took to make it beautiful.

-Their patience. It's hard to keeps one's cool if it all goes wrong.

-Their ideas. These may be lost to the artists themselves one day.

-The effort. If you can put in the effort to make your own work, then don't bother taking someone elses effort and pass it off as your own. That's just terrible.

If you suspect someone of art thief, ask for their sketch. It really helps as well if the artist also takes a picture of the sketch beforehand to prevent false accuation.
